Ambush at Amon Hen - Lord of the rings - (LOTR-TSBG)

The Braking of The fellowship

This is another game we did ages ago, the scenario Ambush at Amon Hen.

    There were two games. In number 1 Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas had to get off the table as quickly as possible, to save Boromir, we had to keep count of the turn that they came off as that would be the turn they cam on in the next game.

 Forces of good:

 Aragorn with elven cloak

 Legolas with elven cloak 

Gimli with elven cloak  

Objective: get off the bord as soon as Possible.

Forces of Evil: 

6 uruk hai with bows

12 uruk hai with sword and shield 

Objective: "kill the others" or just slow them down.  

The uruks could deploy six models 4" from Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas were 12" from Aragorn. The rest of the Uruk hai deployed along the opposite table edge.  

Aragorn stood at the top of the seeing seat stairs.

Six uruk hai rushing up towards him.

The first uruk rushed, making several blows that were blocked by Aragorn who slashed his legs from under him and kicked him from the edge! 

Aragorn, with a great cry of "Elendil" 

leaped from the seeing seat amongst the foe cutting all, but one, down.

Legolas began shot down the approaching uruk hai, while Gimli dealt with those already attacking them.     

The three hunters are surrounded by hordes of the servants of Saruman. They could only fight their way out. 

Aragorn, hearing the horn of Gondor, charged forwards killing all in his way, and running at full speed to help Boromir. Gimli and Legolas were not so fast, and both were caught up in fighting, Legolas was cut down by a group of uruk hai, but Gimli, like the warrior he was, cut to shreds all who assailed him.

Part II

Meanwhile, Boromir and the hobbits were defending themselves against waves of uruk hai led by Lutz. 

Boromir and the hobbits were in the centre of table, while the uruk hai led by Lutz, came round on either side.  

The first uruks rush in on them, One occupying Boromir as two others leap on the halflings. Merry is beaten and knocked unconscious. But Pippin holds his own and is't captured.     

Boromir smashes all his opponents aside, but it is too late, both the hobbits are captured and are hauled off my the uruks. 

Boromir makes a heroic charge to save the hobbits. He catches up with them, but two of the uruk hai attack him while the others continue to run. He kills one of his attackers. 

Boromir pursues the uruk hai as they carry Merry and pippin off.  

But just when the uruks looked like they would get away Aragron and Gimli arrive, Aragorn out runs Gimli and caches up with Boromir.   

Just as the uruks are about to escape aragron and Boromir catch up with the uruk hai with Pippin, they kill his captures and save him. But Merry is taken. 

With Merry captured and Legolas Killed it was declared a win for evil 

A three inch close victory for Isengard!
