Court of inquiry: findings on the case of our defeat in recent engagements

Having lost 8 out of the last 9 games to M (with the other one being a draw), I decided to conduct a public investigation (with findings published here) into why victory seemed to be escaping me recently. What has been going badly wrong with my tactics, or the balance of the game? Or is it just a string of bad luck?

 

I found that too often I split my force, too often I am uncommitted to my plan and too often I attack in waves (again splitting my force and being uncommitted). This allows my daring, and often defensive, opponent great advantage.
