War in Hempburg: 3rd battle of Hemshire Hempburg

The last part of war in Hempburg was the deciding battle between the skaven and Vampire counts. As you can probably tell I wasn't playing (the lack of terrain and small ammount of photographs, plus the dice and other equipment littered untidely across the table), as I had opted to play a small game with another freind (who plays 15mm wars of the roeses) and our 20mm black napoleonic black powder game will be on soon!
The armylists were the normal 750pts changed slightly, here they are.

Clan Wensleydale
Warlord Kevin
Warlock engineer Bob
30 stormvermin with command, shields, ratling gun
30 clanrats with command, shields, warpfire thrower
warp lightning cannon

Host of Amzel Von Dietrich
Amzel Von Dietrich Level 2 Necromancer
Wraith
30 zombies with banner and musician
30 zombies with banner and musician
10 Grave guard with full command and shields
10 crypt ghouls
Flitch the evercrazed, Varghulf

Here are the battle lines with the two big units on each side facing each other. The warp lightning cannon then faced off against flitch and the grave guard and ghouls appeared on the flank.

When I popped back it was fairly evident allot had changed (the appauling state of the table hadn't, all those dice and templates are very disgraceful!), the varghulf had destroyed the warp cannon which seemed to have done little all campaign. The clanrats and Bob had also clashed with the zombies and the clanrats had taken it worse losing one casualty. The other zombies seemed to have lost seven men from the ratling gun and warpfire thrower.

With a flank charge from the other zombies and charges against Kevin's stormvermin from the ghouls and grave guard things were hotting up (the table seemed to be going downhill, the dice were increasing and a sports pass and ruler had appeared. Sadly they did not have a tape measure). The ratling gun had reduced Flitch to two wounds.
Over with the zombie combat the clanrats had taken another casualty, but the zombies had taken seventeen casualties on the first unit and eleven more casualties had been taken on the other one. The Clanrats and Bob very quickly overpowered both units, reforming to face Flitch.
The stromvermin had taken four casualties from the undead while only four ghouls and three grave guard had fallen.

With that it was over, with just one more ghoul and two grave guard dead the undead overpowered kevin and his stormvermin. They had to end there, I was hurying them on as I had finished some time ago and needed my camera. (apolagies again for this disgraceful table).
It turned out that the vampire counts had killed more vps than the skaven but would that be enough added on to the victory points so far...

Obsidian Guard 1010
Hardenburg 935
Clan wenleydale 1155

This meant that the skaven had won, the vampire counts had come 2nd and my Hardenburgers had come 3rd (last), we all had a great time in this campaign and it was a deserved win for the Skaven.
